Our favorite natural beauty products
Have you ever glanced at the ingredient list on your favorite beauty products and felt like you were reading a foreign language? Its no secret that traditional cosmetics can be packed with chemicals that are harmful. And since skin is your body’s largest organ it can absorb some ingredients into your bloodstream. The skin acts as a barrier but is not completely impermeable. Certain chemicals can penetrate the skin and enter the bloodstream, especially with prolonged or frequent use. Thankfully, there is a clean beauty movement and it is becoming more common for products to be offered that are not only effective, but also kind to our skin and the planet.
Before we dive into our favorite products, lets chat about why clean beauty is worth the buzz. Clean beauty products are formulated without harmful chemicals, toxins, or questionable ingredients. They prioritize natural, organic, and non-toxic ingredients that nourish your skin without compromising performance. The ones I mention today are also committed to being sustainable and using ethical practices, making it a win for Mother Earth as well. There are many different brands out there but today I am going to focus on three that I have now been using for a solid amount of time, and can confidently recommend.
ILIA
ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40: This is my go to all summer long. It has just the right amount of coverage (sometimes I think better than foundation) It has hyaluronic acid and plant based squalane in it that serve as skincare. While also having SPF 40 that provides a solid sun protection. If you try nothing else but this, I think its a win. 10/10 recommend.
ILIA Multi Stick: This multi stick is your secret weapon for an effortless, natural glow. It can be used on your cheeks, lips, and even eye for a pop of color. It has all natural ingredients, shea butter and avocado oil, leaving your skin feeling soft and hydrated. I also use this every day in the summer, it is perfect for the the light makeup summer look.
ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara: Finding a clean mascara that performs as well as conventional ones can be extremely difficult. I have tried multiple. This one as well as the one I will be mentioning later are both amazing. This one is made with organic bee and carnauba waxes. It doesn’t clump or smudge and lasts throughout the day.

2. MERIT
Merit highlighter balm: This is one of my new favorite beauty products. It provides a luminous finish that looks super natural. It gives just the right amount of sparkle and shimmer, that adds a perfect touch. I use the shade “Rose Gold”. The ingredients are all clean that also hydrate and nourish your skin.
Merit mascara: I had heard from a few people to give this mascara a try. It did not disappoint. It doesn’t get clumpy, and it is made to build, allowing for a lighter mascara look or thicker for a night out.
Merit contour stick: This is one of my favorite contour sticks. It is so creamy and goes on so smooth. I use the shade leo.
3. WELL PEOPLE
Well People Primer: This is the first step in my makeup routine. It helps prep the skin for long lasting makeup that will last all day. Skin-boosting botanicals like Aloe Vera, Broccoli Seed Oil, and Jojoba Oil work to hydrate, soothe, and even out skin tone, promoting a youthful, glowing complexion.
Well People setting spray: I use this every time at the end of my makeup routine. It just sets everything into place. I like this one because it has all natural ingredients. The plant-powered formula contains Aloe Vera, Snow Mushroom, and Willowbark to hydrate, soothe, and clarify, and give skin an energizing boost.
